How to Maintain an Aluminum Fence
Clean It Regularly
Use a garden hose to rinse off dirt, dust, and debris. For tougher spots, use mild soap and a soft cloth or sponge. Avoid harsh chemicals that could damage the finish.
Check for Loose Screws or Bolts
Inspect your fence for any loose screws, bolts, or brackets. Tighten them as needed to keep the fence stable and safe.
Look for Signs of Damage
Walk along your fence and check for dents, bends, or scratches. While aluminum doesn’t rust, damaged areas can affect how it looks or functions.
Keep the Base Clear
Make sure grass, dirt, mulch, or leaves don’t build up around the bottom of the fence. This helps prevent staining and keeps moisture from sitting too long near the posts.
Touch Up the Paint When Needed
If your fence gets scratched, use touch-up paint to cover the spot. This helps protect the finish and keeps it looking clean and uniform.

Inspect After Storms or Yard Work
After strong winds or heavy yard work, check for any damage. Fallen branches or flying debris can dent or scratch the fence.

Our Past Projects

Common Aluminum Fence Installation Mistakes

Not Checking Property Lines
Installing a fence without knowing your exact property lines can lead to disputes with neighbors or even legal issues. Always confirm the boundary before you start.
Skipping the Slope Planning
Aluminum fences can follow uneven ground, but if you don’t plan for slopes, you could end up with gaps under the fence or uneven panels. Always measure and plan for changes in elevation.
Incorrect Post Spacing
If posts are placed too far apart or not aligned properly, the fence panels won’t fit securely. This can cause the fence to look off and weaken the overall structure.
Not Setting Posts Deep Enough
Fence posts need to be set deep in the ground with concrete to stay strong. Shallow or loose posts can shift over time, causing the fence to lean or become unstable.

Ignoring Local Codes or HOA Rules
Many areas have rules for fence height, style, or placement. Not following them can result in fines or being forced to take the fence down. Always check before starting the project.
Forgetting to Leave Room for Gates
Gate openings need extra space for proper swinging and hardware installation. If you don’t measure carefully, your gate may not open or close correctly.
