How to Maintain a Chain Link Fence
Clean the Fence Regularly
Use a garden hose to rinse dirt and debris off the fence. For stubborn spots, scrub gently with soapy water and a soft brush.
Inspect for Rust
Check your fence for any signs of rust, especially around joints and fasteners. Remove rust with a wire brush and apply a rust-resistant paint or coating.
Tighten Loose Parts
Over time, bolts and screws can loosen. Periodically check and tighten any hardware to keep the fence secure and stable.
Clear Vegetation Away
Keep plants, weeds, and vines away from the fence. Vegetation can trap moisture and cause damage or rust over time.
Check for Damage or Bends
Look for bent or damaged sections that may need repair or replacement. Fixing small issues early prevents bigger problems later.

Maintain Fence Posts
Make sure fence posts are firm and straight. If posts become loose, reset them in concrete to maintain fence strength.

Our Past Projects

Common Chain Link Fence Installation Mistakes

Not Checking Property Lines
Installing a fence without confirming property boundaries can lead to disputes with neighbors or legal troubles. Always verify property lines before starting.
Poor Post Placement
If fence posts are spaced too far apart or not set straight, the fence can sag or become unstable. Proper post placement is key to a strong fence.
Setting Posts Too Shallow
Posts must be dug deep enough and secured in concrete. Shallow posts can shift or lean over time, weakening the fence structure.
Ignoring Ground Slope
Failing to account for uneven ground can leave gaps under the fence or cause panels to tilt. Plan your fence layout to follow the land’s natural slope.
Using Low-Quality Materials
Cheap or damaged materials may save money upfront but can cause rust, breaks, or other damage sooner. Choose quality materials for longer-lasting results.

Skipping Local Rules and Permits
Every area has rules for fence height, placement, and style. Not getting the right permits or ignoring codes can result in fines or having to remove the fence.
